Supporting children and young people with speech, language and communication needs returning to school after the COVID-19 lockdown
It’s been a long, rather strange break, and many children will soon be heading back to schools which are now organised differently. Children, families and staff are all a little anxious. Children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), including those with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) may find it harder than most, as understanding what it will be like is that little bit harder. This document will provide schools and families with a few idea to make the transition that little bit smoother. The strategies will help all children, and daresay a few adults also.
